RARER TO SEE THAN A ONE LEGGED MAN IN A BUTT KICKING CONTEST

Here's Ricks Mom and friend Erma over for a little visit. This is a rare occasion and so well worthy of a spot on our site!!

NEW YORK NEW YORK WHAT A TOWN

Well here we are in a horse drawn carriage just coming out of Central Park in New York City. If you ever go there the ride is a bit of a rip off. Take the bicycle drawn tour instead. Much more informative and enjoyable.

OUR LITTLE PIECES OF PARADISE

When we're not on the road with the Coach or sitting in London here is where we hang our hats. The trailer is right on Lake Huron. It is so peaceful there. Loons, Ducks, Geese, Bears, Rattle Snakes, Deer but no Nuts!! We love to unwind there. And its small enough to remain unbusy (if you get our drift). The house is where we hang our
hat down in Florida for approx. three months. RETIREMENT sure has its advantages eh!!

BE IT EVER SO HUMBLE OUR LITTLE LONDON HOME

Here is the home we see very little of it seems. This is the main ponderosa for us. Try to catch us here. It's harder than finding Osama Bin Ladin.

GRAMMPA & CURTIS ON THEIR SWEET RIDES

Curtis is still a little afraid of Grammpas BIG BIKE, however he has his own sweet ride. He insisted all day that Grammpa and he go riding together. So here I am going about one mile an hour but Curtis as you can see feels like HE IS KING OF THE WORLD!!!

Here is the General marshalling the troops. When she gives an order you better be ready to move!!!

BE IT EVER SO HUMBLE

This is a small pic of our home, humble as it is. We seem to see very little of it as we are away so much.

Here some pics of us doing our thing.

Here our family is having christmas dinner in April as our baby (at the Head of the Table) is preparing to leave in a few days for Korea. We put all the decoration away but when we got back from a Coach trip to New York City the kid was gone but the Christmas tree and decorations were all up again. We were so tired we got a little cranky but what can you do. The culprit was five thousand or so miles away!!! Decorations up and down three times in a month forget about it we don't want to see them again this year.(just kidding we will go through the ritual again in December.

A Little About Our Family First

Barb and I thought perhaps we should let you know a little about our family before we get too far down the road on our blog site. We have four adult daughters.(well most days we have four adult daughters) Just kidding they're all good kids. Three are married to very nice guys. The baby is single and presently in Korea. That is Korea as in far far away from Canada and all her family. Now teaching English for a living along with a good friend from University. It is proving to be quite and adventure and culture shock for her but she seems to be adjusting.

She is teaching English over there.

We have been blessed with three grandsons and one more about to poke his head out into the real world in just a few weeks

Here are a few pictures of our crew.

OUR PERSONAL LIMO

Well this is our sweet ride. It holds up to 56 people and gets great milage!!

OUR RETIREMENT ADVENTURE

High everyone. Well Barb and I retired two years ago from what some would be considered very stressful and demanding careers. Retirement however did not mean a sedintary life of sitting around watching the grass grow. Both of us love to travel, meeting people and enjoying new experiences.

We were looking for something that was completely different from our previous careers. I was a police officer while Barb was a Personal Service Worker working at peoples homes who required assistance with day to day living needs.

It also had to be something we could do together. As well we wanted to spend our winter months in a warm, snow free climate. Now what possible career could one find that was on a part time basis and offered the opportunities we were seeking.

The Coach Bus business was the answer.

Thats right folks I drive the Coach and Barb is the hostess. It is a perfect fit for us. The business is normally slower in the winter months making it a win/win situation for both the company and ourselves to take three to four months off during this period. Once spring arrives business picks up and the need for both full and part-time drivers/hostesses increase dramatically.

Here we are in front of our coach. I believe this picture was taken in Tennessee while were at Dollywood.

Barb and I would like to use this site to give you an insight into some of the great trips we have done. Perhaps you will become interested in doing something similar or if not at least trying the vacation experience of first class Coach travel.
